Wild Energy Integration

This is the set up guide for connecting your Firefly account to Wild Energy Smart Meters, and mapping meters.

Things to Know Before Connecting

Enable the Addon 

To enable the Wild Energy integration

1. Navigate to your Account Settings
2. Click the Addons Tab
3. Check the box next to Wild Energy Smart Meters and click Save

Now, you will be able to manage your integration in the integration settings. 

Accessing the Integration

To access the Wild Energy Integration:

1. Click Settings
2. Click Integrations
3. Click the Campground Management tab
4. Click "Connect" next to the Wild Energy option
   
   

Setting Up The Initial Connection

To set up the initial connection:

1. Click Settings
2. Click Integrations
3. Click the Campground Management tab
4. Click "Connect" next to the Wild Energy option
5. Enter the Property ID that you received from Wild Energy
6. Click Save 

Configure Meters 

To configure the utility settings and smart meters: 

1. Click Settings
2. Click Utilities
3. Click New Utility
4. Fill out the information as needed:
   1. Name - this is the display name of the utility
   2. Rate - the rate of the utility
   3. Utility Type - the utility type that will be metered
   4. Reading Type - choose "Wild Energy" to use the smart meter 
5. Click Map Meters
6. On this screen, you will choose the Meter ID for each unit. Click on the "Select Meter ID" drop down for each unit, and then choose the matching meter ID to map to the unit.
7. As you choose the Meter IDs, a checkmark will appear that indicates the selection has been saved.

Recording Wild Energy Smart Meters

There are two ways to record a utility. From the Record Utilities page, or from a specific unit. For additional information on recording utilities, you can visit this help article. 

Record Utilities Page

1. Go to Property
2. Go to Record Utilities
3. Choose your Read Date, Utility Type, and any additional unit information to help narrow down your reading
   
4. Click "Go"
5. When your screen refreshes, you will see the following options to choose from before reading the meters:
   1.  Notifications: Check the box to choose to send new charge notifications or not 
   2.  Payment Due: Choose when the payment is due
   3.  Add On Charges: If you have flat rate charges for the utility, choose it from the drop down
   4.  Hide price: Check this box if you would like the price hidden from the reservation detail charge description
   5.  Payment Options: Choose to collect payment now, or schedule it for a future date
   6.  Additional Options: Choose to use reservation credits for the charge, and choose if you would like to email a receipt to the guest
6. Click "Read All Meters"
   
   
7. Read through the meters and save the reservation to charge. You can override the totals, edit the readings, and choose to include an add-on

Record Utilities from a Reservation

1. Go to the reservation
2. Click the "options" box on the unit in question 
3. Hover over "Record Utility"
4. Choose the utility you need to get a reading for. This will take you to the Record Utilities page where you can record the meter reading.
