Overview

Departure buffer days are designated periods automatically padded to the end of a reservation. These are often used for cleaning, routine maintenance, or preparing for the arrival of the next guest. Buffer days are configured within a unit's settings and can help you ensure a smooth transition between guests. Once added to a booked reservation, buffer days may be managed from the grid or in a reservation's details page.

Manage Unit Settings for Buffer Days

The automatic application of departure buffer days is managed in a unit's settings, as seen below. The default setting is 0. Simply increase or decrease the number of days as needed.

  1. Go to Units > Settings > click on a unit to open it
  2. You will be taken to the unit's General tab, scroll down to Departure Buffer Days
  3. Enter the number of days to be automatically applied to the end of reservations on this unit
  4. Save

You now have the set number of days automatically applied to all reservations on this unit.

NOTE: Editing buffer days in a unit's settings will not affect existing reservations.

To remove or edit buffer days from existing reservations, see the section below.
