How do I change Payment Method options?

You have a variety of payment method options for guest payments. This article covers payment method settings and customization as well as how to choose the payment methods your system shows.

Overview

You have 10 options to record a payment method in Firefly. These options are the same when taking payments or making refunds. All 10 options are fully customizable. You can rename any or all of them which allows you to match accounting data to the full variety of payment offerings available to your guests. You may show or hide a payment method as desired, so only accepted or frequently used payment methods display. You may even reorder the payment methods so the most desired options appear at the top of the list, improving transaction efficiency - a win for staff and guests.

 


Payment Method Settings

From the main menu, click the Settings dropdown then select Payment Methods.

Here you will see a list of all 10 payment methods and their management settings.

 


Manage Name and Availability

To change a name or visible status, click on the 3 horizontal dots then select Edit
The Edit Payment Method pop-up appears. Make desired changes then click Save.

 


Rearrange the Appearance Order

You may rearrange the order payment methods appear in the selection dropdown when making a payment in Firefly. You do this using a click, drag, and drop action.

  1. Click and hold the 3 vertical dots to the left of the payment method's name.
  2. Drag the payment method to a new location in the list.
  3. Let go of the mouse hold to drop the payment method in the new location.
