Overview
You may share and customize the Other Info field to collect any specific guest information you desire. When enabled, guests and staff have the opportunity to enter the requested information during checkout. The displayed title of this field can be edited to fit the specific needs of your property, and this customized title is displayed throughout Firefly for consistency and clarity.
Here's a few examples of customized use:
- If you wish to collect amperage requirements for RVs, you could edit the title "RV AMP Requirements: 30 or 50?".
- If you wanted to gather the names and ages of everyone staying in the unit, you could adjust the display to be "Names and ages of all occupants".
The possibilities are endless!
Setup Instructions
- On Firefly's main menu, click the Settings dropdown > Property > Reservations tab.
- Scroll down to the Checkout Options section, check the box for "Show other info field". This enables the display of the field and allows you to edit the title.
- If desired, adjust the title of field to fit your needs.
This is what your guests see during their checkout process on the reservation portal and the heading that displays in an Arrivals report. - Be sure to click Save at the bottom - you are now done!🎉
Note: There is a feature request for the option to require this field, but it does not exist just yet.
Collect Information for Other info field
Guests and staff see the Other info field during checkout, in the Reservation section. Your customized title is displayed or the default of "Other requests or special instructions".

Edit a Reservation's Other info field
The information collected in the Other info field is associated with the respective reservation. It is not linked to the guest's profile.
Once a reservation is created, the Other Info field may be edited on a reservation's Guest tab.
This process is the same if information entered during checkout needs an update as well as when no information was entered at checkout and it needs to be added.

In a Reservation
A reservation's Guest tab displays information collected from the Other info field.
In Reports
An Arrivals report may be ran to view, print, or export a reservation's Other info field.
From Firefly's main menu, go to Reports then scroll to the Reservations section. You will find the Arrivals report in the top left corner.
Enter your desired report parameters then click Run. Scrolling through the report's column headings, you will find the Other info field displaying the default title or your customized title.
