How do I change my property's name in Firefly?
Directions to update Firefly if you have recently made a change to your property's name, or will be soon making one.

Overview
It is common for businesses to experience expansion, diversification, or a change of ownership. If your business experiences one of these evolutions, you may find it necessary to make adjustments to the business name. Firefly gives you full control to adjust your property name as well as your friendly URL, to keep your Firefly account real-time relevant to your growing and changing property.
TIP: Your property name is what your guests see and is separate from your Firefly account name. If you would also like to update your Firefly account name, see: How do I change my Account Name?.
To change the name of a property:

Navigate to Firefly (app.fireflyreservations.com)

On the left menu, click the Settings drop down then select Property.

- This takes you to the General tab, where you find the Property Name field at the top, left corner. Replace the existing name with the new name that you would like reflected.

Optional: Scroll down to the Friendly URL Name and update that accordingly, if desired.

- Click Save.
CAUTION: Updating your property's Friendly URL changes your reservation portal's URL. If you update your Friendly URL you may need to update the following:

your website's Booking buttons that redirect to your Firefly reservation portal

email or SMS templates sharing the reservation portal link
- guest portal links: these include the friendly URL so you need to send new links.
- Sharing the guest portal placeholder is the easiest way to accomplish this. You may edit a standard template or create a custom template.
