When do automations happen in Firefly?

Firefly has lots of options for automatic recurring charges, auto payments, and automated email notifications! This help article addresses when those automations happen, so you know what to expect and when to expect it.

NOTE: All times are in the Central time zone.

Charges and Payments

  • Failed Scheduled Payments: 9am, 3 day wait before reattempt, up to 3 reattempts
  • Payments that are not scheduled: Processed immediately
  • Scheduled Payments: 9am on selected date
  • Recurring Charge - Auto Payments: 9am on date of recurring charge or selected date if specified. NOTE: Payment is delayed by specified number of days when auto payment notification option is enabled.
  • Recurring Charge - Automated New Charge: 2am, Daily
  • Refunds: Processed immediately
  • Utility Charge Payments - Collect Payment Now: Processed immediately
  • Utility Charge Payments - Scheduled Payment: 9am on selected date

Email Notifications

  • Expiring Credit Card Notification: 9am, Daily
  • Overdue Charge Notification: 9am, Daily
  • Overdue POS transaction: 9am, Daily
  • Payment Success, Payment Failure, Payment Retry Notifications: 9am, Daily
  • Reservation Follow Up Notification: 5pm, Daily on the day after departure
  • Reservation Post-Stay: 4pm, on the specified day before arrival
  • Upcoming Reservation and Reservation Pre-Arrivals: 10am, 12pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 8pm, 11pm, on the specified day before arrival. NOTE: If a reservation is made a week or more before arrival, the email will be sent the first available slot of 10am, but if the reservation is made after that, it will send in the next available slot.
