Ready to run your end of season inventory count? While there’s not much we can do to speed up the actual counting process, you can easily export the POS Inventory report in Firefly to ensure all your items are tallied up.
1. In Reports, scroll to POS section and select POS Inventory report.
2. Enter your report parameters. You can choose to run a report for all of your inventory items at once, or run a report for a specific category or vendor.
3. Click Run
4. Sort your report. Click on the column heading to choose how your items are displayed: UPC, Description, Quantity on Hand, Category, or Vendor
5. Click the Export to Excel icon to download the spreadsheet onto your computer
6. Open the spreadsheet and right-click on the “Price Each” column.
7. Choose “Insert Column”.
8. In the newly created column, record the actual number of that item you have in stock.
9. If you’d like to calculate inventory loss, use "Insert Column" again and put in the following formula: =C3-D3. To copy the formula to all rows in the column, highlight the column (ensuring the row with the formula is selected), then choose “Fill > Down” from the tool bar at the top.
TIP: If there are differences between your shelf stock and the inventory in Firefly, be sure to update Firefly's inventory for each item.
