Before you get your template ready:

A few tips for before you start working on your import template:

💡Visit our Data Import page here for more information about the process

💡 You will need your Units set up in Firefly

💡 If you need help formatting excel, and combing through data we have a paid service that can help, ask your Customer Success Manager about our services.

1) Export Reservations from Previous Software

We can help with as much as we know! So for this step, if you have questions you can reach out to your CSM who can do their best to help. We are not very familiar with our competitor's export capabilities, but we can help you google if your old platform will allow you to export or not

The easiest way to grab your reservation information is going to be in a .xlsx or .csv file. These copy/paste into excel fairly easily

2) Copy/Paste into Firefly Template

Your CSM will provide you with a template to add your reservation data into Firefly. While there are many short cuts and workarounds in excel depending on your own comfortability, the biggest need here is that each column matches in the template.

3) Upload your Saved Template to our Data Imports Page

Save the template with the updated reservation information and upload it on this site here! Your customer success manager will communicate with you on timelines for getting your reservations imported, and any additional information they need from you. It typically takes a couple of days.

4) Voila!

Our team will work with you on any errors that occur in the import process. Typically this is due to an incorrect unit name, or something similar. Totally no biggie and all fixable! Sometimes, we just need more input from you!

Caution: Some of our competitors products export the nights of the stay, not the arrival and departure date - leading the import to be off by 1 day for every reservation. So be sure to double-check your dates before sending over the template to the Firefly team.
