How do I add or edit a unit class?

This article provides the steps to both add new unit classes, and change the current unit class of an existing unit.

Overview

A unit class is a way of categorizing your units. This helps with mass editing of unit changes like rates, it also can help when viewing the grid, and filtering throughout the Firefly system. 

Adding a New Unit Class

Unit classes are a helpful way of categorizing your units. 

1. Click Settings
2. Click Unit Classes
3. Click "New Class" 
4. Type a Class Name and Description
5. Click Save

Editing a Unit Class

If a unit is showing in the wrong unit class, it might be that the wrong class is listed under the unit settings. To change the unit class for any specific unit, you can do so by following these steps: 

1. Click Settings
2. Click Units
3. Click on the Unit you need to adjust
4. Under the General Tab, click on the Unit Class drop down and choose the class you wish for the unit to have 
5. Click Save
