Season Checklist

Reference this checklist as a helpful tool when figuring out what needs to be updated season by season, or year after year in Firefly.

Season Checklist
  1. Rates - If you are changing your rates on your website, you want to make sure Firefly reflects those changes. This is also a great opportunity to add any special rates like events for the next year. 
  2. Minimum/Maximum Rules - if you have rule set around your holidays, you will want to make sure these are added for the new year. 
  3. Policies - If you have any dates, or time specific scenarios check out your policies to see if they need to be updated. Or, had a mishap this last year and need to add a new policy? Now is a great time to do so. (Sample Policies)
  4. Email Templates -  If you need to change any terminology in your email templates, you might have date specific language you want to adust. 
  5. Unit Blocks -  These are great to set up so that you can open your reservations before the season, but block off any dates that are out of season, or units that are not yet available. 
  6. Overdue Charges - Check out the overdue charges report, and clean up any outstanding data from the last year so it doesn't carry over into the new year. 
  7. Reservation Credits - Check on your reservation credits and adjust any amounts that might have expired or are no longer relevant
  8. End of Day - Catch up your accounting data from the end of day. Here is our accounting guide to help if needed
  9. Point of Sale - Check on your inventory and make sure it is up to date before the season. 
  10. Add or Delete Users - Your staff personnel might have changed, you can add or delete users in Firefly as needed. 
  11. Staff Training - This new user training guide is here to help! Your team can think of it like a course in Firefly with videos, and help articles to learn how to do day to day operations in Firefly.
