Firefly Onboarding Checklist

Wondering all the steps you need to take to get your park up and running? Below is a comprehensive checklist!

Have Onboarding Questions? Reach out to our success team: success@fireflyreservations.com to connect with your onboarding specialist and we can help walk you through these steps!

1) Sign Up for Firefly

If you have not already done so, sign up for your free trial here

2) Activate your Live Account

When you have decided that Firefly is the right reservation management software for your business, activate your account by following the steps here.  (Tip: This let's our sales team know to introduce you to the onboarding team and officially welcome you to Firefly...so it's really exciting when you make this decision!🙌)

Note: If you do not want to start taking reservations immediately, be sure to prevent this in your park settings! You can do this by adding a group block to all of your units, or using the Max Reservation Date feature under Settings --> Property --> Reservations, and choosing today's date.

When you are ready to take bookings, we can adjust these settings later! 😊🙌

3) Start Setting Up your Payment Processor

In order to process online payments, you will need to connect with a payment processor. Learn more about your Payment Processing options here

4) Go Through Your Property Settings

Here comes the fun part! In Firefly, your online reservation portal is completely customizable. We have this set up video and guide to help walk you through all the different property settings and customizing Firefly to meet your business needs.

5) Schedule your Firefly Welcome Call

Now that you have jumped into Firefly, it's time for your first onboarding call! By now, the success team will have connected with you sharing their calendar link for booking this call. If you didn't hear anything, send us an email: success@fireflyreservations.com and we can send it your way!

On this call we will go over any questions you have so far, outline what is left to do, as well as be a second set of eyes as you are building out your Firefly park.

6) Set Up Your Units

Units can take the most time, but there are lots of tricks and tips for creating them in a quick way. Check out our Adding New Units guide, the Unit Clone tool, and the Import/Export tool so you don't have to create each unit individually!

7) Finish your Park Set Up

8) Learn about Marketing Tools in Firefly

In Firefly there are different ways you can help to market your business, and make more money!

  • Email Templates - We highly recommend reading through these. If you don't want an automated email to go out, uncheck the box in the top right corner that says "sending"
  • SMS Messaging (Paid Firefly Upgrade)
  • Airbnb Integration (Paid Firefly Upgrade)
  • Kisok Mode

9) Set Up Accounting

Firefly has three different kinds of accounting: Cash, Hybrid, and Accrual. You can follow this set up guide, and schedule additional training with your customer success manager as needed to help get your Accounting set up in Firefly.

Note: You will need your chart of accounts ready for this set up.

10) Train your Staff, Schedule your Operations Training

Woo hoo! Your park is set up and now it's time to train your staff on how to use Firefly. Reach back out to your Customer Success Manager to book your final onboarding meeting, and go through training on managing day to day operations in Firefly.

You did it!! Welcome to Firefly
